Nowadays, blogging is more of
business. People writes blogs to make money or to promote their products and
service. The current direction is that you start blogging, gain some traffic
and place some ads to make some little amount of money. This trend has been
around some time that most of the blogs have started to look the same. The
competition in blogging is so tough. You need to establish yourself as unique
if you wish to attain success in blogging, long term. Honestly, there are
unlimited tips which you can follow to make your blog effective and useful, but
today I will be concentrating on the most basic of Blogging and the king, and
that is “Content.” No matter, how great your design is and how popular your
site is on social medias, by the end of the day it’s your content which will
make your blog stand out. Even if you have a great blog and voice of your blog
changes, this will put off your regular readers.
MAKE YOUR BLOG BETTER AND EFFECTIVE BY OFFERING A
QUALITATIVE CONTENT
As I mentioned before, I’m
not going to talk about things like Design, typography, and other things, which
you can easily outsource. I’m going to talk about the king that is improving
your blog content, which is the backbone of your blog and your success. My
suggestion here, if you are working hard to make your blog a better attractive,
qualitative place, then instead of working on endless link building, improving
the design and adding endless Blogger widgets and plugins, work on the quality
of your blog content. It could be in many different ways, which includes
Language, Grammar, the way of presentation, images, making your content genuine.
USE CASUAL MANNER
One of the things you can see
in new blogs that are started with the aim of making money doesn’t have a good
personality. Even if it’s a news blog or tutorial blog, most of them are made
like it is written by a robot. actually, the formal tone can be a little
boring, and web surfers don’t want to read this “hoity-toity” text. So the next
time you write a new blog post, be more personal. Think of the writing as being
a conversation you are having with a friend. Using humor and other personality
characteristics in your writing will make people want to keep coming back to
read your newest articles.
DON’T POST LONG ARTICLES
People don’t want to read all
the text on the internet. If they wanted to read a novel, they would have just
that. Try to stick to your point and keep it nice and very short. If you want
to convey a long message to your readers, consider breaking them into several
posts. This will not only increase your page views but also, more people will
read them since most of them don’t have time to read a long article.
ALWAYS CHECK YOUR WRITING SPELLING
Although the tone of your
blog should be kept casual, you should still edit your work. You should always
check your writing spellings and basic grammar before you publish your post to
readers. For WordPress users, there is a plugin named “After the deadline” that
checks your spelling and grammar just before the post is published. Also, if
you are not from country where English is your first language, here are some guide
posts which will help you to improve:
TRY AND POST OFTEN
People who likes your content
will always be looking for newer contents from your blog. If you only update
once a month or once a week, then these loyal fans will move on for next big
thing. Readers on the internet have a short attention span, and you need to
impress them often to help them retain the memory about you. It is a good idea
to schedule posts so that new posts are regularly published. A good posting frequency
would be at least 3-4 posts a week.
